"Change fails when we treat it as a process instead of a human experience".
Over the decades

1950s - 1970s
These were the years of early curiosity and quiet observation. Growing up in post-independence India, LC developed a sensitivity to ideas, people, and patterns long before he encountered technology or formal philosophy. This period laid the emotional and intellectual foundations for a lifelong interest in meaning, awareness, and how humans relate to systems larger than themselves.

1970s - 1980s
As computing began to take shape globally, LC entered the professional world at a moment of transition. Technology was still about capability and scale, not experience. These years were defined by learning, discipline, and immersion—understanding systems deeply while beginning to sense that technology alone could not explain human behavior or decision-making.

1980s - 1990s
Spending nearly two decades at TCS, LC grew alongside the Indian IT industry itself. This phase was marked by experimentation, leadership, and exposure to global thinking under pioneers like F.C. Kohli. While outwardly about scale and execution, inwardly it was a period of questioning—about purpose, people, and the limits of efficiency-driven models.

1990s - 2000s
Leaving TCS to lead ICIL (later Zensar) and eventually founding Nihilent marked a decisive shift. These years reflect a move from participation to creation—from operating within systems to reimagining them. It was during this phase that the seeds of LC’s change-management thinking and human-centered philosophy began to take clearer shape.

2000s - 2010s
As digital transformation accelerated globally, LC’s work moved toward integrating philosophy, design, and behavioral understanding into business and technology. Frameworks like MC³ and later explorations into experience, emotion, and consciousness emerged. This period represents the blending of left-brain rigor with right-brain empathy.

2010s - Present
In recent years, LC’s focus has shifted toward deeper inquiry—existentialism, awareness, art, and storytelling. Writing, filmmaking (Banaras: A Mystic Love Story), photography, and philosophical work like The Collapse of Illusions reflect a turn inward and outward simultaneously. This phase is less about achievement and more about articulation—making sense of a lifetime of thinking, observing, and questioning.
